"Le Rail" - ciné-concert avec Peter Vizard au château de Commarin

For the first time, Château de Commarin is hosting a film concert in the Grand Salon. Audiences will be treated to Lupu Pick's Le Rail (1921), a major film of German silent cinema, acclaimed for its social realism and pared-down mise-en-scène, a precursor of Kammerspielfilm.
The film will be accompanied live by Peter Vizard, an internationally-renowned improvising pianist who is a regular guest at film festivals and cinematheques. He is also an actor, having starred with Luc Besson in Léon. His sensitive, inventive music will bring to life all the emotional power of the film in an exceptional heritage setting.
