L' Armance

In the centre of the village, on a hillside, l'Armance is a tastefully renovated and decorated mansion dating back to the Middle Ages. It offers top-of-the-range amenities and overlooks the Cognan valley.

Each of the 4 bedrooms has its own private shower room with WC, television and wardrobe. Two of them also have a small lounge with a bookcase. Bed linen and towels provided.

On the garden level, the 47 m2 living room features a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, induction hob, retractable extractor hood, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and small electrical appliances. The dining area opens onto a 36 m2 terrace, which is complemented by a small garden of over 100 m2.

On the mezzanine level, the large 48 m2 lounge is a convivial place to meet up after a day in the fresh air. It has lovely windows overlooking the valley and an impressive (but non-operational) fireplace. A large-screen television and a pool table complete this charming, tastefully furnished room.

Visitors will appreciate the authenticity of the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Jean, its tranquillity and the views afforded by its dominant position.
It lies at the crossroads of the granite Morvan, with its splendid forests and lakes, and the internationally renowned vineyards. Culture, architecture and gastronomy all come together here, with Mont-Saint-Jean boasting 2 not-to-be-missed addresses: Pascal Laprée, a foie gras producer, and Franck Witteman, the chef/owner of Le Médiéval restaurant, right next door to L'Armance, whose authentic, refined cuisine attracts a gourmet clientele from France and abroad. Franck also offers a catering service for visitors to the Armance.
