Wash house of Fontenelle - Montceau-Echarnant In the hamlet of Grandmont, you will see two wash houses, the first in the direction of Saussey, offers a magnificent panorama of the Morvan. The second, more mysterious, is accessible only on foot or by bicycle, towards Ecutigny. This is the wash house of Fontenelle. Dated 1865, it is built close to the remains of a Gallo-Roman villa, and is fed by a sustainable source. Many broken tiles and a large amount of shards of Gallo-Roman and medieval pottery were discovered. Other items found at the scene certify that the place also housed an old forge. Picnic tables are available to enjoy the peace and quiet and wooded landscape.
