It is estimated that the foundations of the windmill date from the 14th century. During the 18th century, it was known as the Windmill of Renfert. On the eve of the French Revolution, André Perrin buys the mill for three barrels of rye and renovates it. His son in law takes over the activity in 1842 and raises the tour by 1.50m. In 1900, at the age of 70, the last miller Philibert Motot ceases to grind flour and the windmill's activity stops. It will pick up grinding again for a last time between 1914 and 1918, then the German army occupies the site in 1940-1944. Listed on the Inventory of the Historical Monuments of France since 1946, it belongs today to the Rouxel family who renovated it entirely between 2001 and 2003.
